ACRE (Artists Co-Creating Real Equity) is an inter-generational, multi-racial group of artists and cultural workers committed to organizing for racial equity in the influential realms of art and culture. Several ACRE members are affiliated with NOCD-NY and they have shared their platform with us here. They are focused on five primary areas: racial equity in arts education, funding, coverage in media, curation, and casting. ACRE invites specialists in these fields, who are aligned with their mission, to visit their monthly meetings. Share insights, discuss new language, and contribute unique perspectives. Find more information on their Facebook page.

People who have attended an Understanding & Undoing Racism training through the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond are invited to join ACRE.
